Hamilton police seek suspects following arson on Hess St.

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects believed to be responsible for setting fire to a restaurant on Hess St. last week.

Emergency crews responded to the fire on July 18 shortly after 4:30 a.m. They say the building sustained extensive damage but no one was injured as the restaurant was closed at the time of the fire.

The first suspect is described as a male with a heavy build, dark beard and long hair in a bun. Officers say he was wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, dark pants with a logo on the left leg and dark shoes.

The second suspect is described as a short male with a slender build and freshly-cut hair with a receding hairline. Officers say he was wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.

The case is being investigated as a targeted arson. Investigators do not believe that this fire is linked to any other active investigations at this time.
