Hamilton police seek suspect in armed robbery at cannabis retailer

Hamilton police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery at a cannabis retailer on the evening of Nov. 12.
Investigators say that the suspect entered Village Cannabis, located at 275 King St. East around 7:30 p.m.
The individual used a tablet provided by the establishment to select products from the menu.
As the employee turned away to retrieve the requested items, the suspect revealed a firearm and demanded the products with shouts of “give it to me, give it to me.”
The suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining the items and fled eastbound on King Street East.

There were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
The suspect is described by police as a Black woman, approximately in her 30s, with a medium to heavy build and eyelash extensions.
At the time of the incident, she was wearing a puffy black winter jacket and a light-coloured scarf covering her face.
