Hamilton police are turning to the public for assistance in tracking down a wanted fugitive.

On Thursday the department said that 51-year-old Serge Kanyiki did not appear for a sentence hearing.

They added that Kanyiki has been convicted to four years for sexual assault and forcible confinement and that he could be in the Hamilton or Halton area.
