Hamilton police investigating sexual assault near Gage Park

Hamilton police are working to track down a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near Gage Park in the early morning hours of Sunday.

Authorities say they were called out to Main Street East and Gage Avenue South around 3:10 a.m. to respond to the initial incident.

The force hasn’t released any additional details surrounding its investigation but has published two surveillance images of the man they believe to be responsible.

In an effort to track him down, police are now circulating those images.

Officers describe the suspect as a white man with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a zip-up hoodie with the hood up, long pants and two-toned running shoes.
