Hamilton Police investigating drive-by shooting on the mountain

Hamilton Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on the mountain.

The shooting happened on Elgar Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday near Limeridge Rd. W and Garth St.

Detectives are on scene gathering evidence and shell casings.

Police say shots were fired from a vehicle toward a group of people between the ages of 17 and 21.

The vehicle then drove away.

No one was injured.

Last month, a man from Peel Region was stabbed to death last month in this same area.

Police haven’t said if the two incidents are connected.
