Hamilton police investigate evening assault near Wilson Street

Hamilton police are investigating an assault Tuesday evening that happened in the area near Wilson Street where one person was injured.

Officers were called to a home in the area of Wilson Street and Birch Avenue at around 7:30 p.m.

Police told CHCH News that one person was assaulted with a weapon and sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives have not said what weapon was used in the assault or who was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
