Hamilton police charge 3rd person in murder of Danielle Strauss

Hamilton police have charged a third person in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Danielle Strauss early last month.

Officers responded to reports of a dead woman found in her apartment at 195 Ferguson Ave. North around 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Investigators believe Strauss died approximately three days earlier.

A 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were arrested on Nov. 28 on a Hamilton bus and charged with second-degree murder.

Police arrested a 40-year-old woman Tuesday and charged her with accessory after the fact of murder in relation to the murder of Strauss. The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits police from releasing her name as it could lead to the identity of one of the teenagers charged.

The woman is expected to appear in a Hamilton court Wednesday.

Officers are not releasing the cause of Strauss’ death as it remains evidence.
