Hamilton man charged after falling asleep at the wheel in A&W drive-thru

A 39-year-old Hamilton man is facing charges after staff at an A&W in Brant County discovered him asleep at the wheel in the drive-thru.
Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to the A&W restaurant around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday for reports of an impaired driver.
Staff reportedly tried several times to wake the driver before police arrived but were not successful.
Officers transported the man to a police detachment for assessment where he was found to be impaired.

Christopher McEwen, 39, of Hamilton is charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.
The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March in Brantford.
