Commuters in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area will notice additional GO Transit trips and other changes starting Monday.

Here are the adjustments to routes in the Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions.

Lakeshore West

Riders taking the Lakeshore West line can expect some temporary changes to their daily commute.

Some late night and early morning train trips will be replaced by buses from Sunday to Thursday due to construction projects. GO Transit says it made the decision to better serve the communities for the long run.

The first four departures in each direction from Hamilton to Union will be replaced by bus services on Saturday and Sunday.

The organization says GO buses will not stop at Exhibition, Mimico, or Long Branch GO stations.

West Harbour to Niagara Falls

Starting Tuesday until Thursday this week, there will be changes to Niagara Falls train service due to CN track work and maintenance.

There will be no weekday train service to and from Niagara Falls and train trips that usually serve the city will start and end at West Harbour GO station.

GO Transit says riders can use bus route 12 as another option to and from Niagara Falls.

Milton Line

The transit system will also see a pair of weekday rail trips on the Milton line in the morning and afternoon rush.

GO Transit says one additional trip will depart Milton GO station at 6:59 p.m., arriving shortly after 8 a.m. at Union Station. Another trip will depart Union at 6:25 p.m., arriving in Milton just before 7:30 p.m.

Existing services in Milton are also adjusted – the 6:44 a.m. departure will leave the station 15 minutes earlier and the 5:10 p.m. departure from Union will also leave the station 15 minutes earlier.

Waterloo to Hamilton

On Saturday, GO Transit released its new weekday service from Waterloo to Hamilton via Kitchener and Guelph.

The bus will run hourly in both directions, reaching the GO Train stations, including ION LRT and four universities – Waterloo, Laurier, Guelph and McMaster.
