Hamilton company receives $500K to boost healthcare solutions

A local Hamilton company received $500,000 from the Ontario government Thursday to help boost the life sciences and healthcare industry.
‘Fero International Designs’ builds modular units to help hospitals and clinics in Ontario and around the world. The units provide extra space, when there’s hospital overcrowding.
Finance minister Vic Fedeli says this innovative idea may one day be used to help the housing shortage.
The fund is also designed to encourage cost effective solutions to infrastructure challenges in health care, especially in remote areas.
