Halton Region is expanding its COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to include people 70 and older starting Friday.

Previously, vaccines were limited to people 75 and older, along with other priority groups identified by the province.

Vaccinations are by appointment only, walk-ins will not be accepted.

Residents can book their appointments through the region’s online portal or by calling 311.

Halton Region has vaccination clinics in Burlington, Halton Hills, Oakville and Milton.

Residents can also book at the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
