A music teacher from Georgetown is facing a number of sexual assault charges related to incidents dating back to the 1980s.
Arthur Dale Wood, 73, was arrested on Tuesday and is charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.
Halton police say Wood worked as a singing and music instructor throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s and offered private lessons at his home in Georgetown. He also travelled to client’s homes to provide lessons.
Police say they began investigating Wood earlier this month after a former student came forward with allegations of sexual assault. Investigators say a second former student came forward during their investigation with similar allegations.
Police believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone who may have additional information that could help with this investigation to contact Det. Joe Barr at 905-465-8969 or Det. Sgt. Chris Newcombe at 905-465-8965.
