Halton police charge G2 driver accused of going more than 50 over the limit

Halton police in Oakville have charged a G2 driver accused of driving 113 kilometers in a 60 kilometer zone.
Officers said in an X that the driver was using a rental car around 7 a.m. on Thursday when they were stopped and charged with stunt driving.
At 7am today this G2 driver was driving a rental car and speeding at 113km/hr in a posted 60km/hr zone. Driver was stopped and charged with stunt driving. Licence suspended for 30 days and despite the rental the car is impounded for 14 days. #SafeStart ^JW pic.twitter.com/JZfY9lIgq8

Things like excessive speeding, street racing, contests and engaging in dangerous driving practices are all considered stunt driving in Ontario.
Officers also suspended the G2 driver’s licence for a month and impounded their rental car for two weeks.
