Halton police catch driver speeding 40 km/h over posted limit

Halton police say a driver in Oakville was caught going more than 40 km/h over the posted speed limit shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police said in an X that the driver was on their way to work when they were caught going 104 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on North Service Road.

Police have suspended the driver’s licence for a month and impounded their vehicle for two weeks.

The driver also has to appear in court.
