Halton police arrest Toronto man after human trafficking investigation

Halton police have arrested a 27-year-old Toronto man after a months-long human trafficking investigation.

Officers say the allegations stem from previous incidents between 2018 and 2020 where a victim was exploited throughout the GTA.

The human trafficking investigation was initiated last December.

On Monday, Paolo Fadul-Gonzalez, 27, of Toronto was arrested and is facing six charges including trafficking in persons, procuring and advertising for sexual services.

Fadul-Gonzalez has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
