Fort Erie man, 30, wanted after shooting that sent 1 to hospital

Niagara police are looking for a 30-year-old man following a shooting in Fort Erie Tuesday that sent one person to hospital.

Officers responded shortly before 11 a.m. to Village Creek Dr. between Old Mill and Ott roads, where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics then brought the man to a trauma centre. Police say he is now in stable condition.

Niagara police say the suspect and victim are known to each other and it was a targeted shooting.

Officers say Aynla Mustafa Hassan of North York is wanted for aggravated assault. He is described as Black, five-foot-eight and 190 lbs with dark braided hair. Hassan was last seen wearing grey or black clothing– possibly a track suit.

Police believe Hassan was driving a four-door brown 2008 Chevrolet Malibu with Ontario licence plate number CWXJ 443.

Hassan is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached, officers said.
