Hamilton police have searched a home in connection to the disappearance of Emily Bailey.

The 23-year old mother was last seen on Weir St. N., near Britannia Ave. on New Year’s Day. Bailey said she was going to a friend’s place, but didn’t get there.

CHCH News received a tip from a resident who lives on Weir St. N. that a forensic van had been on the street for two days this week.

Hamilton police have confirmed to CHCH News that forensics is collecting evidence related to the case. They could not confirm if the home is where Bailey used to live.

In early March, the homicide unit took over the case when the circumstances surrounding her disappearance suggested the possibility of foul play.
