Fire tears through tent at encampment in Hamilton park

Fire crews were called out to a park in Hamilton after a tent caught fire.
Currently, there is no word on whether anyone was injured, what caused the fire or how many tents were destroyed.
Emergency personnel were able to make quick work of the blaze.
Neighbours say they heard an explosion from the park just after 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Footage captured from a nearby balcony shows a large inferno inside the park, just off of Victoria Avenue North, between Wilson Street and King William Street.
Other tents sit adjacent on either side of the blaze as black smoke bellows into the air.
