Fire has forced the closure of a Burlington grocery store.

It started at the Food Basics at Guelph Line and Upper Middle Road just after 1:30 this morning.

A rubbish fire outside the store spread to the building and the roof.
There is a lot of smoke damage inside, so health inspectors will check the store today to determine which food is unsafe.
