Residents of the area say there was snow on the ground at the time of the crash and explain this section of Highway 52 North can be dangerous at times.
One resident says the community is waiting for a roundabout to be added at the highway’s intersection with Powerline Road West because cars turning left are currently a hazard.
In an update released five days after the crash, authorities were able to determine that the driver of the Chevrolet Impala lost control while heading southbound. The car veered into the oncoming lane and struck the black Ford Focus that was travelling north.
