COVID-19 outbreak declared at police station in Brantford

Brant County Health Unit has declared a workplace outbreak effective yesterday at a Brantford Police Service station after three workers tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the release, the three individuals work in support roles and are not front line officers.
BPS say these are its first confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their service.
The members were last at work on Dec. 18.
All areas where they worked have undergone a deep cleaning since then.
While the affected members isolate, the service says it is working with the Brant County Health Unit to ensure proper contact tracing.
In response to the provincial shutdown, BPS has asked the public to refrain from attending the Elgin St. facility unless facing an emergency situation.
