COVID-19 outbreak declared at Dr. J.E. Davey Elementary School in Hamilton

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Dr. J.E. Davey Elementary School in Hamilton.

The outbreak was declared on Dec. 13 with two confirmed cases – one staff and one student. The school, located near Wilson St. and Wellington Ave. N, remains open.

The province defines an outbreak as two or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 where the infection was reasonably acquired at the school.

On Monday, there were new COVID-19 cases reported at eight Hamilton Wentworth District School Board schools:

  • R.A. Riddell Elementary School — student (3)
  • Ryerson Elementary School — student
  • Earl Kitchener Elementary School — student
  • Waterdown District High School — student (2)
  • Spring Valley Elementary School — student
  • Lisgar Elementary School — student (2)
  • Huntington Park Elementary School — student
  • Gordon Price Elementary School — student
