YouthREC Week offers employment and training opportunities for youth

The city of Hamilton is hoping to attract youth to some employment opportunities within the city’s recreation department. This week it’s offering some free events through YouthREC Week to get youth interested.

Tonight there were three-on-three basketball tournaments at Montgomery Park, Carter Park, Woodlands Park, and William Connell Park from 3 to 8 p.m.

Events like this could be a job for youth over 14 years old. Starting pay is $17 an hour.
