Your Home, Your Vote: ADFW candidates face off in Dundas

An all-candidates debate is taking place in the Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale riding this evening, and it’s a race many expect will be close.

While there are eight candidates running in the riding, many believe the race is between incumbent Liberal MPP Ted McMeekin, and Progressive Conservative candidate Donna Skelly.

McMeekin is the veteran of the two. The 63-year old was mayor of Flamborough for 6 years and a Hamilton city councillor. This will be his fourth provincial election after being elected in 2000.

This is Skelly’s first campaign. She was hand-picked by Tim Hudak for the nomination.

Voters will have to decide whether they want to stick with what they know, or for something different.

Rounding out the bunch is NDP candidate Trevor Westerhoff, and Erik Coverdale for the Green Party.
