YMCA site of a proposal

A Hamilton man was given the surprise of his life during a Zumba class.

It happened at the YMCA on Rymal Road.

Julio was attending the class with his long-time girlfriend, Antonella, when the instructor pulled out a chair and sat him down. His eyes were covered, as his family and friends hurried into the gym. That’s when Antonella got down on one knee and popped the question.

“I don’t know if you remember the wedding we went to. My cousin said to you, after the 20 years that we’ve been together, and all the (expletive deleted) and everything else, when are you going to ask my cousin to marry you, and your answer was, ‘I’m waiting for her to ask me.’

Julio said yes, and received a warm reception of applause and hugs.
