Wynne answers questions about horse racing

The future of horse racing in Ontario was back on the agenda at Queens Park this morning.

In a heated exchange with opposition members, Premier Wynne defended her governments decision to cancel the slots at racetrack program. The Conservatives have argued that the move has devastated the industry, throwing thousands of people out of work. Wynne insists that her government had no other choice.

Last week a freedom of information request revealed that the three person panel looking into the future of the industry have charged taxpayers a half a million dollars in consulting fees.
