Would-be arsonist wanted by Niagara Police

Police say they’re on the hunt for a would-be arsonist who tried to torch a house in Niagara Falls back in November.
Officers say they were called out to a residential break-in alarm during the early morning hours of Nov. 23.
When they arrived at the residence, off Niagara Parkway near Marshall Road, they noticed a door had been broken open and “an accelerant poured on the floor inside.”

Thankfully, the suspect was unable to get a fire started, and police say he ran away from the scene.
Surveillance footage from that night captured images of a man wearing a bandana and hoodie while carrying a jug at the property. Police say this person is their primary suspect.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them by calling 905-688-4111.
