World Emoji Day

Today is World Emoji Day and Apple is celebrating the only way they know how…by releasing more than 70 new emoji characters!

The new characters will be coming to iPhones, iPads, Apple watches and Mac computers later this year in a free software update.

Some of the new emoji designs include more hair options to better represent people with red hair, gray hair and curly hair as well a new emoji for bald people.

And joining the growing list are kangaroos, peacocks, cupcakes, moon cakes, and a superhero.
