Woman wanted in TTC theft

Toronto Police are looking for a woman accused of theft after another woman jumped to her death in a TTC station yesterday morning.
Police say the woman left her purse on the subway platform before jumping in front of a train at College station at around 8 am. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officers haven’t been able to identify her because her purse – which likely carried her identification – was allegedly stolen by another woman.
Police have released a photo (above) of the theft suspect taken from a surveillance camera. She is described as white, 40 years old, 5’4″, with a medium build with brown hair. She was wearing a blue floral dress and white watch on her left wrist.
They are hoping someone from the public will recognize the suspect, and that they will also be able to identify the victim.
