The Burlington fire department conducted a rope rescue on Saturday for an injured hiker who fell at the Mount Nemo Conservation Area.

It happened around 3:30PM on Saturday. It’s believed to be a woman in her 20s who fell off a cliff.

Halton police say that the hiker was lifted over 50 feet in a rescue basket, and that she has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

She appeared to have a head injury, but was conscious when emergency crews arrived.

The rescue took about an hour-and-a-half.
