Emergency crews descended on Albion Falls this afternoon for a rope rescue.

A spokesperson with Hamilton Fire says an adult woman fell about 15 feet around 2 p.m.

Several fire crews were sent to the scene and rescued the woman in about an hour.

The fire department said this is the second rope rescue of 2017 and it follows a record breaking number of rope rescues in 2016.

City of Hamilton officials are reminding hikers to take caution as they head to the trails in the warmer weather.
