The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 at Waterdown Rd have reopened after a deadly rollover in Burlington.

It was closed for five hours while police investigated the rollover that took place at 2 o’clock this morning. The victim was a 23 year old woman who was driving towards Hamilton. Her Subaru left the far left lane and crashed, throwing her into the Toronto-bound lanes.

She died after being hit by a van. The driver of the van was not hurt.

The OPP’s reconstruction team is still trying to determine why the car left the westbound lanes. They have been looking at human error to road conditions. The stretch of highway is a straight stretch and the roads were dry at the time.
