Woman charged for false 911 calls

A woman in Ontario is facing a mischief charge after police received more than a dozen false 911 calls.

Police in Halton say 17 calls were made, starting in September, and involved various emergency situations in the town of Milton.

It’s alleged that the caller took a number of steps to mask the person’s identity, including the use of digital voice alteration and unassigned phones.

33 year old Sarah Taylor of Milton is charged with public mischief.
