Woman arrested after vehicle crashes into home in Dunnville

A woman has been arrested after a vehicle crashed into a home in Dunnville.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a suspicious person in the area of Pine St. and Alder St. West at 9:46 p.m. last Friday.
Police say they found the suspect but she escaped police custody at the scene. Officers later located and arrested 37-year-old Sarah Moodie, of Dunnville.
Police allege Moodie was involved in a single-vehicle collision that happened in Dunnville on Aug. 22. A vehicle left the roadway and struck a house which sparked a fire. It caused extensive damage to the vehicle and home.
Moodie has been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, escape peace officer, theft of motor vehicle, mischief endangering life, fail to stop after accident and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
