The police collision reconstruction unit is investigating after a 49-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Officers responded shortly after 11:30 a.m. to the area of Lakeshore Rd. near Old Lakeshore Rd. for reports of a collision.

Police arrived to one vehicle that had struck a tree.

Paramedics transported the woman driving the vehicle to hospital, where she later died.
