A 23-year-old woman has died after falling off a cliff in Milton, Ont. Sunday evening.
Emergency crews were called to Rattlesnake Point just off Appleby Line shortly after 9 p.m.
Police say the woman was out with a friend when she fell roughly 21 metres (70 feet) from the trail.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they are confident that there was no foul play and that this was in fact an accident.
This is the second time this year firefighters were called for a rope rescue at Rattlesnake Point. Just last month a man was air lifted to hospital after loosing his grip while rock climbing. And last year Toronto firefighter Sara Rosen died after falling off a cliff while mountain biking in nearby Kelso Conservation, a place with similar terrain.
Rattlesnake Point was closed Monday for police investigation.
