Winter storm warning

In Hamilton and Halton they’re predicting a snowfall somewhere between 15 to 25 centimeters, but the hardest-hit area is expected to be the Niagara region. Reports are showing they could get as much as 40 centimeters.
Workers at a Niagara Falls municipal centre have been filling up their trucks with salt and preparing for a non-stop shift Sunday night as they expect to see the largest snowfall this season.
Niagara Falls CAO Jason Burgess says they will be fully staffed as crews head into the night, looking to keep the roads clear and de-icing them in hopes of keeping commuters safe on Monday morning. The city is warning residents to avoid non-essential travel and not to park on the road for plows.
Niagara Falls isn’t the only region bracing itself, the town of Lincoln tells us they will have two night crews running overnight and have plenty of salt. However, expect removal times to be a bit slower as they have a few staff members home isolating.
