Wind farm vandalized

A wind farm in Haldimand County where an eagle’s nest was removed has been vandalized.

The huge bald eagle’s nest was believed to have been one of only 58 in Ontario.

It was on top of a tree removed to make way for an access road to the project.

The OPP say that, on the weekend, a wind turbine on the Summerhaven Wind Farm Project was covered with graffiti and set on fire.

Damage is set at $60,000.
