Wind farm plans released

Plans for one of Ontario’s largest wind farms have been released, calling for almost 40 large turbines in West Lincoln.

A draft for the $550 million proposal shows most of the turbines in West Lincoln, with the rest in part of Wainfleet and in Haldimand.

It also calls for planned turbines to be pulled out of Pelham and most of Wainfleet.

There’s been a lot of opposition to this wind farm, and a public meeting is planned for later this month.
