Police say the adult female wolf dug out of its enclosure at around 9:00 a.m. Members of the public are being strongly encourages to not go looking for the wolf.
“Pressuring the wolf could also cause it to run, making its capture more difficult. The public in the area are being cautioned to be aware of their personal safety and that of their pets,” said police in a news release.
Police also say they are working closely with the City of Port Colborne and the Niagara SPCA.
