Wheelchair relay at Pier 4 Park

The ninth annual Hamilton Wheel Chair Relay took place Saturday at Hamilton’s Pier 4 Park.

The family-friendly event allows people living with and without disabilities to wheel around a track in a wheelchair to compete for awards.

It is estimated at least one person in Ontario suffers a spinal cord injury each day. Spinal Cord Injury Ontario works to provide each of these people with information, support, and education about their injury.

The organization hoped to raise $20,000 with today’s event.
