What’s open and closed this Civic Holiday

Here’s a look at what is open and closed in our region for the Civic Holiday.

OPEN

Major grocery stores will be open with reduced hours
Some Beer Store locations
Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) will be operating on a Sunday schedule service level
Oakville Transit will provide holiday service
Malls including Lime Ridge Mall in Hamilton, Eastgate Square in Hamilton, Mapleview Centre in Burlington, The Pen Centre in St Catharines, and Outlet Collection at Niagara in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Outdoor pools, splash pads and playgrounds
Niagara Falls tourist attractions including Bird Kingdom, Butterfly Conservatory, Great Canadian Midway, Niagara Parks Power Station and Ripley’s Believe It or Not
Some LCBO locations are open

CLOSED

Banks, government offices and post offices
Select LCBO locations are closed
All Hamilton libraries are closed
The Farmers’ Market is closed
Niagara Region Transit is not operating due to the holiday
GO Transit is running on a Sunday schedule.
There will be no recycling or garbage pickup in Halton or Hamilton on Monday. Pick up will be one day later for the rest of the week.
There are no changes to garbage collection in Niagara
