What’s open and closed on Victoria Day in Hamilton, Halton, Niagara

Here’s a look at what is open and closed in the Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions on Victoria Day.

Waste Collection

There is no recycling or garbage collection in the Hamilton or Halton regions. Pick up will be a day later instead.

There are no changes to the garbage collection schedule in the Niagara region.

Transit

City buses in Hamilton, Halton Region, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland are running on a Sunday-holiday schedule. Transit in Fort Erie will not be running.

GO Transit will be operating on a Saturday schedule.

Closed

• Banks, government offices and post offices
• LCBO locations are closed
• All Hamilton Public Library branches
• The Hamilton Farmers’ Market is closed
• Most shopping centres are closed, including CF Lime Ridge Mall and The Pen Centre

Open

• Some Beer Store locations are open
• Outlet Collection at Niagara and CF Toronto Eaton Centre will be open with reduced hours
• Some major tourist attractions will be open, including Canada’s Wonderland and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
