What’s open and closed on Labour Day in Hamilton, Halton, Niagara

Here’s a look at what is open and closed in our region on Labour Day Monday.

CLOSED

• Banks, government offices and post offices
• LCBO locations are closed
• All Hamilton libraries and museums are closed
• The Farmers’ Market is closed
• There will be no recycling or garbage pickup in Halton or Hamilton on Monday. Pick up will be one day later for the rest of the week.
• There are no changes to garbage collection in Niagara
• Most major shopping centres are closed

OPEN

• Public transit in Hamilton and Halton will operate on a Sunday schedule
• Public transit in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls will operate on a holiday schedule
• There will be no transit service in Welland and Fort Erie
• GO Transit will be running on a Saturday schedule
• Some Beer Store locations are open
• Outlet Collection at Niagara and CF Toronto Eaton Centre will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Some major tourist attractions will be open including Canada’s Wonderland and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
• Outdoor pools, splash pads and playgrounds
