WestJet to bring back popular Hamilton/Vancouver route

WestJet has announced the airline will bring back flights between Hamilton’s John C. Munro Airport and Vancouver International Airport in 2017.
The service will begin on April 30, 2017 with a four-time weekly service. It will then move to daily flights, June 28 to September 7, and return to four-time weekly flights until October 27.
WestJet Executive Vice-President, Bob Cummings, says the company is looking forward to bringing back the popular route.
“We heard the citizens of Hamilton and we want to thank them for their loyalty by bringing back even more non-stop service; giving them access to Vancouver’s 27 non-stop routes on approximately 63 daily departures,” said Cummings.
Vijay Bathija, President and CEO at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, said in a statement he is thrilled with the announcement. Bathija said, “Hamilton to Vancouver is one of the most requested services we receive from passengers in Hamilton and surrounding region, both for business and leisure.”
