Wentworth crash sends one to hospital

A 72-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries, after being struck by a car near Wentworth Street at Aikman Avenue in Hamilton Thursday.

Police say she was hit while crossing from the west to the east side of Wentworth Street around 3:30. The collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate Thursday and is asking witnesses of the crash to come forward. Police say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
