Welland robber uses knife

A man armed with a kitchen knife robbed an Avondale convenience store on Niagara Street in Welland last night.

Niagara police say the suspect approached a female clerk and demanded money from the register, which she handed over.

The man then fled the store.

The man is described as white, 18 to 25 years old.

He’s 5′ 10” and 150 pounds with a slender build.

He was wearing a black and grey hooded jacket and was wearing gloves.
