Welland motorcyclist killed in U-turn accident

A 38-year-old woman is dead after her motorcycle and a van collided in Wainfleet Friday night.

Police say a 55-year-old man driving a Dodge Caravan on Regional Road 27 crashed into the woman’s Harley Davidson motorcycle while performing a U-turn.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision remains under investigation by the Coroner’s office and detectives of the Reconstruction Unit.
