Welland mayor seeking re-election

Welland mayor Barry Sharpe has announced he will seek another term in this fall’s municipal election.

Sharpe was first elected in 2010, and says his key priorities for the next four years include creating jobs, investing in infrastructure and controlling property taxes and water bills.

Sharpe also says he is excited to showcase Welland to the world when they host kayak and canoe sprint events for next year’s Pan Am games, and the 2015 World Dragon Boat Championship.
