Welland man faces multiple charges following break and enter

A 21-year-old Welland man will appear in court to face multiple charges after a break and enter in Welland.

On November 22, Niagara Regional police were called to a break and enter in the area of Fitch Street. When they arrived, the break-in was already in progress. The suspect ran away but through their investigation police were able to identify him.

According to a press release, the man was also identified as being involved in a separate fraud investigation.

On December 3, Fort Erie police found the man who was hiding in a home.

Daniel Turner from Welland and Fort Erie was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of a stolen credit card, two counts of fraud under $5000 and failing to comply with a recognizance order.

Turner will attend a bail hearing in St. Catharines December 4.
